Prof. C. L. Maurya is a versatile and multitasking personality in the field of Agriculture especially Seed Science & Technology and at present he is working as a Dean, College of Agriculture; Head of Department, Department of Seed Science & Technology & Agricultural Biochemistry, C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. Dr Maurya was born and brought up in the District Sant Kabir Nagar of Uttar Pradesh. He did his school education from his native place and joined C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur in 1984 for college education. He did his doctorate from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, UP.

Dr. Maurya has joined on the post of Assistant Professor in November 1991 in the department of Seed Science & Technology, CSAUAT, Kanpur and promoted to the level of Professor in November 2008. In the span of 31 years of his services, he graced the various positions like Registrar; Director, Placement; Director, Administration & Monitoring; Director, Seed & Farms, University Librarian and Breeder Seed Production officer of the Chandra Shekhar Azad University, Kanpur. He has been engaged in the extra curicular activity like Warden, Games Councillor, Secretary to the Board of Faculty and NCC Officer (Captain) of the University.

He has served the Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar as Registrar for two years, where he has made tremendous change in the University education System. Since the University was in its infant stage, he has introduced many meaningful new courses in UG/PG course curricula as per local needs and industry demand and opened new departments of Genetic Engineering & Molecular Biology, Seed Science & Technology and PHT in horticulture. He has automatized whole examination, evaluation and result management system of the University. He has designed degree certificate, gold medal and merit certificate of the University. He has also published a bulletin “Krishi Siksha”. Best Student Award & Dr. M. L. Chowdhary Gold Medal was introduced by him who is being conferred on the occasion of Convocation. The credit for holding of Ist Convocation of the University also goes to him.

Dr Maurya has made immense contribution in his professional field also. He has published more than 100 research papers/ articles/Abstract in the national/international repute of journals and magazines. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Yadav is currently working as Senior Scientist and Head at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University), Alirajpur. After receiving primary education in village school, he graduated (B.Sc. Agriculture) from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Post Graduate (M.Sc., Plant Pathology) from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner and received Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. He has 17 years of professional experience in field of research and extension. He has made important contribution in the field of conservation and promotion of Kadaknath breed and integrated pest and disease management, water conservation, expansion of vegetable crops, seed production, use of organic pesticides for the development of tribal farmers. He has also been a part of ICAR funded projects NICRA, NAIP, AICRP (Maize). Dr. Yadav was recipient of several National Awards; among them some of important are Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Outstanding Extension Scientist Award in 2015 and Fakhuriddin Ali Ahmad award in 2016. He was associated and nominated with numbers of scientist societies and committees, who evolved for professional and agricultural development in the country. He has also been honored by the University, District Administration and several societies for his excellent work. He has more than 25 research papers, 03 books, 10 technical booklets, 30 popular articles and many success stories published in national magazines. He has handled several Projects focusing on Improvement of livelihood of the farmers and alternative livelihood support system for farm women.

Dr. Upendra Nath Singh is working as Senior Scientist & Head at Deendayal Research Institute, L. B. S. KrishiVigyan Kendra, Gopalgram, Gonda (U.P.). He did his B.Sc. (Ag.) And M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (U.P.). Ph. D (Horticulture) from V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (U.P.). He achieved gold medalist in M.Sc. (Ag). He served as Training Associate / Subject Matter Specialist at Deendayal Research Institute, L. B. S. KrishiVigyan Kendra, Gopalgram, Gonda (U.P.). He published 15 Research papers in Reputed NAAS Rated National and International journal, more than 47 popular articles and various books & book chapters. Dr Nand Kumar is presently the Assistant Professor of Department of Agricultural Biochemistry, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur, U.P.. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. He has work experience in many projects like Sorghum and Paddy scheme as an Biochemist. He has 20 years research and teaching experience in the field of agriculture particularly in Agricultural Biochemistry. He is honored with many national /international awards and recognizations. He has published 25 research paper, 30 book chapters, 2 book / manual and actively participated in many national and international confrences, seminars and symposia. He is a joint secretary of Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists and other organisation and societies. His area of research interest are biochemical analysis of cereals, legume and oil seeds.
